Sequential reoccurring events

How can create/program a sequential reoccurring event?
For example, the subject of the event would read:

xxx days since 03/23/2009.

xxx would start at 1 or 0 and increment by 1 for each day the event
reoccurred. Further, I would like to have each reoccurrance "marked" as being
read, with no reminder. This would serve as a log of the number of days since
a specific date. Thanks
