Series label

[New To Graph]

I am new to this area. I have created a bar chart for
Budget actual and variance for each of the months of a
year. How can I display the sries name e.g. Apr Budget,
Apr Actual etc on the relevant bar itself. Or can I?

If you have Excel XP, one of the data label options is Series Name.

You can also give yourself more control over labels by constructing
labels in a range in the worksheet. Use the & to connect strings of
text, for example, enter =A1&A2 in a cell to put the contents of A1 and
A2 together in that cell. Then use Rob Bovey's Chart Labeler
(http:..appspro.com) or John Walkenbach's Chart Tools
(http://j-walk.com) to apply these labels to the chart.
