Seriour problem

Dear sir ,
Yesterday I have prepared one procurement schedule.It had main heads
as Drawing , Qty , Contractor finalization, Approval, Procurement and various
activities listed under them.Activities had links from different sheets.
When today I opened the same sheet I found total structure of sheet
has been changed.Some procurement activities automatically moved in qty, some
in drawing, there were many empty cells in between them.Some activities had
predecessors and duration intact but Task name completely wiped out. In the
begining it had shown a message of circular reference. What might be the
problem?.

Sounds to me like somebody changed the file.

Check your computer for viruses.

If you suspect a corrupt file, you could try the suggestions in FAQ Item: 43. Handling project file corruption and/or bloat.

Dear sir,

This has not happened.I have password to my PC. I had made different
groups and filters using customized fields.I have done this many times.But
today I dont know what went wrong.In the starting it has shown the circular
warning reference message.And not a single link from another MSP file
remained valid.I have to remove all the links.Is it possible while filtering
and grouping it readjusted the schedule?

Amey,

No, filtering and grouping should not make any adjustments to the file.
The circular error message usually indicates you have links on summary
tasks, but again, simply sorting and filtering (without manually moving
tasks) should not have placed the links there.

You may need to resort to a backup copy of the file. Also, please
ensure you have the latest service pack installed to Project.
