Hello, I've recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and am having serious problems trying to open a large excel file- 35 mb. I also have an HP printer installed. I've tried use the two fixes people have suggested by changing the view layout in the preferences and changing the default printer to a non-HP...

At one point excel re-started from a crash with a recovered version of this large file. Every time I start excel this file is opened (along with three others) and seems to slow the process.

At this point excel freezes even when I try to simply open a new worksheet. I can't seem to get rid of this recovered doc to see if that would help.

Help!

Try this first of all...

Make sure no Office apps are running & go to the following folder;

User/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 AutoRecovery

Delete any files that are in that folder then restart the Mac.

Reply with your results.
