Serious Outlook 2003 Calendar problem

D

David Clark

Hi,

We currently have an Exchange 2000 server with public
folders containing shared calendars which work fine in
Outlook 2002 but in Outlook 2003 you cant see them (says
you dont have permission to read them). The permissions
are correct (event the owner cant open them!). If I take
a copy of the calendar and put it in my own mailspace I
can read it, this has to be a bug surely?

Unfortunately this is a major problem for us and is
stopping us from deplying Office 2003.

This was also present in the beta.

Help!

Has anyone else not encountered this problem?

There is a very messy work around as follows

It's not ideal, but you can see shared calendars if you
put them in your Public Folder Favorites, use Cached
Exchange Mode, and set Download Public Folders on (in
Accounts - More settings - Advanced)
