Serv Pack 3 XP Pro Front Pg Disc

D

Dee

I just update my computer with the serv pack 3 and it keeps prompting me for
the xp professional with front page disc. I never purchase this software,
have always had home edition. So I do not have the disc to put in. Now I
cannot view any of my excel spreadsheets (and I have to get taxes done!!!)
Please help!!!! I tried to do a systems restore but it must be too late
because it won't let me go back far enough.
thanks!!!

We are obviously talking apples (the Office software) and oranges (the
Operating System) here.

What XP service pack 3 did you install, the one for the operating system or
the one for Office?

If you installed the one for the operating system, Win XP SP3, uninstall it
and then try your software since the SP 3 for XP operating system is still
in beta and should never be installed on a non-test machine.

If you installed the one for the Office program try to uninstall it also.
When it is asking you for XP Professional with front page it is asking for
the Office install disk, not the Operating System (XP Home) disk. If XP
Office Professional is installed on the computer you will need to find the
disks to do the upgrade in all probability.

Let us know if this helps.
