Server 2007 linking tasks in Proposals

We are exploring MS Project Server 2007. As an administrator in the
Proposals and Activities when I am in the Work Details of a proposal I am
unable to select more than one task in order to link it with another. I've
tried highlighting two rows, using right click, nothing allows me to Select
more than one task. I get the message "To link tasks, select two or more
tasks, and then click the Link Tasks button on the toolbar." How do I select
the tasks?

The task linking feature is very clumsy in both Proposals and Activity
plans, as you have already discovered. :)

You must click the gray row header at the far left end of the row, press and
hold the Control key, and then click the row headers for other tasks. Then
you can click the Link Tasks button. Hope this helps.

This worked, thank you. Do you know of any good How To books on Project
Server? Everything I've found on the MS pages talk about how to plan the
implementation, the architecture, etc. There's no "how to" on functionality.

Yes, there is an absolutely fabulous book on Project Server 2007 for Project
Managers, which will answer all your questions on how to use the system.
This book just hit the market today! :) You can order it at:

Hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing the additional documentation about Project Server 2007.
Believe me, most people are totally in the dark right now, lacking much
meaningful documentation anywhere. This forum is probably a life saver for
most users of Project Server 2007 right now.

Dale another well written book. I have both copies now for 03 and 07 Server.
Do you have a PDF of your books?
I know others tend to put their books on PDF's as well when you buy them and
was wondering if you guys did the same?

Thanks for buying our books. To date, we have not yet opted to produce PDF
versions of our books. Sorry.
