Server 2007 Usage Statistics

I want to collect timephased capacity/volume statistics.

For example how many users logged in to update/publish plans, how many
submitted timesheets, updated documents in WSS, time spent on PWA
etc. This information is useful for capacity/demand planning.

Any pointers appreciated.

Gathering this type of information requires getting information from a number
of different sources.
1. The published database conains some inforation on last user logins and
timesheet information is also available here and in the reporting database.
2. The WSS documents contain data in the WSS tables that maybe usefull
around document versions and user updates, you can also track this in he IIS
logs.
3. The IIS logs will let you see timespent in PWA or WSS and that pages are
being viewed.
