server error

I am using FP2000 on a XP-Pro platform. I am trying to
publish changes to my site, but keep getting an error
message: server error: cannot close
file .filename.html.tmp. What is up with that?

Make sure you have saved any and all pages you were working on.
Then click Tools > Web Settings > Advanced and Click the "Delete Files"
button to delete the FrontPage temporary files.
Then try publishing.

Steve,

thanks for the feedback. Your idea sounds like a good
one, but it did not work. I recently changed all of
my 'htm' extensions to 'html', so I re-saved all of the
pages on the site. After solving a 'thumbs.db' error
that I was getting, I was able to publish once. At that
point I re-added all the pics that I had removed when
trying to solve the 'thumbs' issue, and now I can't
publish. Any other ideas? Thanks!

The thumbs.db file should not be within your web, and it is only created
because you have access your web with Windows Explorer.

As a general rule, do not open FP web outside of FP, then issue like have
the thumbs.db create will not happen.

Have you contacted your host to have them run a check on the extensions
and/or check the permissions?
