Windows 98 client, Windows 2000 server running WinProxy.
Client running Outlook 2000 is getting the message "The
SMTP server name you specified cannot be found." Same
thing for POP. In fact, I have accounts with 2 different
services and am getting the same messages for both.
Yet, I can Telnet to the servers!
I have tried many things, including creating a new pst and
reinstalling Outlook.
If I use dial-up to connect the client to the internet
without going through the proxy, I can receive messages,
but sent messages are returned with "No transport provider
was available...".
I don't know where to go next. Please help!
