"server not available" and "Can't open this item"

I get two error messages when I try to open one of my Bussiness Contacts in
BCM.
Double clicking on any of my BCM contacts gives these errors:
BCM error: "The Server is not available. Contact your administrator if this
condition persisits". Then Outlook error says: "Can't open this item. The
server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition
persists."

This seems to have started when I reinstalled everything on my new laptop,
from my old one. (Xp to Vista). My user profile has full admin rights.
Using:
- Outlook 2003/Office 2003 Small Business edition
- BCM Update SP4 version 2.00.5333.00
- Vista Home Premium

I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find the solution.

The first to figure out is: what happened to the server?

Go to the start menu, right-click on Computer, Manage, and find the
Services. There should be a service called something like: Sql Server
(MSSMLBIZ). Is it started?
