I have a server (NT 4.0, SP6a) that has started rebooting
whenever excel files are accessed from a specific
directory. Just recently upgraded Symantec Corporate
Edition Antivirus from 8.1 to 9.0. The reboot occurs if
you access the excel files from the server, from a
workstation, from Symantec or from Veritas Backup Exec
(also running on the server). All of the excel files in
question have embedded macros. Disabling realtime virus
scan of *.xls seems to work but not real happy about
leaving it this way. Has anyone else have any experience
with a similiar problem?
