Server requests timeout every time in Outlook 2003. Error 4202.

For about 10 days, Outlook (dialup) will not allow emails bigger than about
300-400 kb. In Outlook Help, tried under "I received a server timeout
message," and was told to go to Tools - E-mail Accounts - View or Change
existing e-mail accounts - Next - Change - More Settings, with the object of
moving Server Timeouts to Long. But, there is no button for More Settings.

And you chose the e-mail account in question from the list before clicking
the Change button? Is there truly no More Settings button or is it just
grayed out? It should be right above the Cancel button in the lower right
corner of the "Change e-mail account" dialog box.

Thanks for replying. Yes, there is only one account which is my email
address, and I selected it -- it turned blue. The type of account says MAPI
(Default). When I click Change, the pop-up is a Microsoft Office Outlook
Connector box, not a "Change e-mail account" box. There is no More Settings
box, even gray. Above Cancel, which is just to the right of OK, is a box
where I can change the name I want to appear in the receiver's Inbox. I have
also checked for and installed "critical" updates, and I run anti-virus and
spyware regularly.

I'll bet it says "IMAP", not "MAPI". Even so, there should be a More
Settings button.

It sounds like this is a Hotmail or Windows Live Mail account that you have
connected to Outlook through the Outlook Connector. In that case you would
have to contact whichever service you're using (Hotmail, etc.) and see if
they can help you with this issue. There are other community newsgroups here
that deal with those web-based e-mail accounts -- you can ask there.
