Server Settings and Personal Settings on Quick Launch

I am looking to remove the Server Settings and Personal Settings for
certain user groups on the quick launch bar. I would like
administrators to have full access and views but limit other groups
with making any edits/changes as well as even seeing the server
settings and personal settings features on the quick launch. Is there
any way of removing these for one group but not for another (ie:
administrators).

Yes, you can remove these permissions for both Personal Settings and Server
Settings via Group Permissions. They are located in the Global Permissions
section in the group edit page and they are Manage Personal Notifications
and Manage Server Configuration respectively.

FYI, do not deny these permissions necessarily, but rather uncheck the box
in the Allow column for all groups you do not want to have access to these
functions. This way if a user is a member of two groups, one that allows
access and one that does not allow (this is different than deny) then they
will have the permission. If you specify a deny then this will overwrite
the allows in other groups.
