Server-Side Word Doc Automation Alternatives

Is anyone using any 3rd party software tools to automate the creation
of microsoft word documents? (Since microsoft word is not recommended
on a server environment (where parallel processing is very much
needed)). Our current application can only process 1 document at a
time because of the overhead imposed by MS Word.

You might also try our SmartPrecedent product: http://www.speedlegal.com/

With this, you can output RTF, PDF, XML, and other formats.

The RTF can have complex styles, numbered lists etc.
