server timed out error message

I have seen other postings with the same problem I am
experiencing. I get the error "The server "" timed out "
whenever I try to publish my website changes using
Frontpage 2003. I don't believe that I have any
individual files that are > 1 MB but my entire web has
several MB in total.
Any help is appreciated.
