Hi,

Been trying to get asp.net working with Frontpage database connection wizard and have go the point where I am now getting the message:

'Server Application Unavailable
The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request.

Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this specific request failure can be found in the system event log of the web server. Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to occur'

I've looked at the event log and that doesn't really help me out. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Andy

Are you talking about on your local machine or the remote server?

Is asp.net installed?

Hi,

Can you post up the event log entry? I'm assuming you have IIS and the .net
framework on your local machine? The only time I've seen this error I've
fixed it by deleting and recreating the application in IIS - you might want
to try that, certainly can't hurt.

Hi Jon,

I tried deleting the site in IIS and recreating it, but alas that didn't help. The exact text from the event log is:

'The description for Event ID ( 1082 ) in Source ( ASP.NET 1.0.3705.288 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 80004005.'

Thanks

Andy
