Server went down; reminder notices disabled; how to re-establish

Our server went down and we had to reinstall Outlook. After the re-install
we noticed that the reminder function in the Calendar module quit working.
We are operating in a terminal server environment.

How do we restore the reminder notice function?

Please advise
