service.lck problem

Have FP 2003 on two XP pro SP2 clients in an office.

Our Web SITE is stored locally on a shared drive with full permission to the
two users who edit the web site from their workstations.

We replaced User2 computer last week with a new Dell PC with XP Pro

Installed FP 2003 on client.

User2 is not able to save any changes to the website.
User1 has no problems.
User2 is getting 'cannot access service.lck'
I deleted service.lck in the -vti folder. User2 could not even open the
Web Site when I did this. User1 was able to open the Web Site and a new
service.lck was created. User2 then got the same error as before - can not
access service.lck

Each user has full control of the Directory where the web site is stored. I
checked permissions on the new service.lck file and the two users have 'Full
control'

Any ideas ?????

No,

All files in the _vti_pvt folder are "not" read only.

The web site was not moved or copied - it is still in the same location as
it was before the new computer was added.

Delete the service.lck file and it will create a new one. See if that
helps.
