Service not respoinding Error in Evenings

J

John G

'In the evenings starting a 5pm I logon to MSN service and try to download my
email into outlook 2003. It will let me send message but when it gets to the
Recieving part I get the following error message
Task 'MSN: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error (0x800CCCF0)
: 'The service is currently unavailable. Try again later. The server responded
'Service Unavailable.'.
What can I do to resolve this issue?

Wait... patience is a virtue where MSN is concerned. :) It's been up and
down all day.

Diane, Thanks for your reply. This is a constant error I get every evening
around this time. The frustrating part is that I can't clean out my outlook
inbox since it can't "syncronize the headers". Is this something I should
contact tech support about?

MSN Tech support? You could try... but I doubt it will do any good,
assuming you get a phone number or address that works. <g>

If it only happens at the same time each day, it's either server overload or
server downtime.

Diane and John...I get the same message. I just added another email account
with Outlook (hotmail) I have in addition my other hotmail and MSN email
account going through Outlook, they both send/receive but for the past couple
of day (since I set up new one) I can not get this new hotmail account to
Synchronize headers. I get that same message and it is driving me crazy
because the other two are fine....msn.com email account and hotmail.com email
account. Did anyone find a answer or should I call MSN.
Thank you:)

Is this new Hotmail account one of the free ones? Hotmail no longer allows
Outlook or Outlook Express access to free Hotmail accounts.

Yes it is Brian, I did not know that....My old and long time hotmail acct
will go through Outlook and so will the MSN acct but not the new hotmail
....darn....that is not fair. MSN wants you to upgrade and pay for email acct.
Thanks for the reply.
