Service Pack 1 the answer?

I had run into a pile of issues with PowerPoint 2004 and Pasting
graphics and text. The result was extremely low resolution images. As
I do a lot of cutting and pasting from other documents, the answer
"Save the graphic as a separate file somewhere and then import" is a
real pain. Any idea if Service Pack 1 addresses these issues?
