Service Pack 2 won't install

I am unable to install service pack 2 for word xp(2002).
My laptop was delivered with Office xp professional
installed (by my university) and they did not (won't)
provide me with the cds. So I purchased my own copy of
Office xp. But I bought the standard version not
professional with Front Page version. Now I get an error
message when trying to install the service pack 2 update
because the update is looking for the a copy of the
Profession version software (on cd , disk or online) which
I don't have.

Any suggestions?

If the Uni is that uncooperative, then I can only suggest that you uninstall
Office Pro with Front Page and then install your Office Pro. The Uni IT
department is obviously staffed with complete numb brains because they
should have copied the installation files as part of the original install to
save having this problem.
