service pack 2

Hi ll,
This is a post of mine from microsoft.public.sharepoint.windowsservices
group, didn't get any answers over there, maybe here..

I have a few questions about service packs 2 for either wss\ sps:

I have a singel server comp with sps - Hebrew (and of course wss)
installed.

1.Tried to install wss sp2 and got an error saying it didnt find the
right version.
could it be because i'm trying to install it over the Hebrew version?
Should there be any special steps for installing sp2 over the Hebrew
versions of sps\wss?

2.Must i install sp2 to use sql 2005?
