Service Pack 3 install probs

When trying to install service pack 3 to a pc in the office it requested the
office XP disk. No one has any idea where the disk is so I cancelled the
update.

This now results in excel looking for the disk when ever it's opened.

How can this be fixed?

Martin Scott,
Before installing any updates you should have the original installation
disks...
You will need them now to reinstall Office.
