Service Pack 3 Update Kills definition links in HTML Help

J. Kirk Taylor

After installing Office 2000 Service Pack 3 (English
version) and Office 2000 Service Pack 3 for Office 2000 SR-
1 Disc 2 and Publisher 2000 SR-1 (English version), the
defined term links in my MS Project help files no longer
work. Before installing the update, when I clicked on a
term it poped up a window with the definition (this is
what it's supposed to do). After installing the update,
however, when clicking on the defined terms nothing
happens. Other links that take me to other help topics
continue to work, but the pop-up definitions do not.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kirk

Hi Kirk,

The 'show me' and 'definition' links were intentionally
disabled by the service pack to block a potential security
'hole'. There is a technique to, at your own risk, re-enable
the feature.
