Service Pack 3

I have just recently installed service pack 3 onto my Microsoft Office 2000. I have noticed that Microsoft word will no longer load. It seems that every time i launch it, the microsoft word box comes onto my screen and crashes my computer. The mouse can still be moved while nothing esle happens. I have testing other programs such as Excel and Powerpoint which both work it is just that Word refuses to launch upon multiple attemps. If anyone would be able to help me launch it without crashing my computer it would be great.

By the way I am using Micrsofot Millenium Edition.

Try running Detect and Repair.

Where do i get to that? Another question I have is how can I repair the file when i can not even open it without it crashing my system, forcing me to restart.

You can run it from Help in any Office program or you can run it from
Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs. Highlight Office and select
change. Use the maintenance/repair option.
