Who came up with the idea that a service pack of over 600+ Mb should be a
download? That is about the dumbest decision ever to come out of MS. Even
with a DSL line it would take most of a day and if someone has dialup, an
entire weekend, assuming it didn't get interupted so they'd have to start
over. That is an entire new program and should be sent out on disc. I have
problems with Outlook that I've been told will be fixed by the service pack.
But if the service pack of that size isn't available any other way but a
download, then it's no damn good.
That makes about as much sense as a car manufacturer offering someone a
replacement automobile for the one that won't run if they'll drive the one
that won't run back to the factory - then smuggly telling everyone they
offered to exchange it.
MS is offering to fix their faulty program by replacing it, but to replace
it I have to use the program that doesnt work to download the replacement.
And don't tell me it's not a replacement. 600+ Mb is not a repair. Please be
honest!
