Service Pack Updates

Steve

I have Office 2000 installed on a Windows 2000 PC, and it
installed with SP1 (the help menu varifies this). Now
when I go to install SP2, which shipped on a separate CD
with the CDs for Office 2000, I get an error message that
SP2 won't install without installing SP1 first. And if I
try to go back and re-install SP1 it says it is already
installed and won't try again.

I tried downloading SP1a, but when I run it the same
message comes up that SP1 is already installed.

Any ideas how I can get SP2 installed.

Hi Steve,

Can you successfully complete a Detect & Repair
run of Office 2000 from the Help menu in Word?
If so, then this article may help.
