Service Packs On CD

B

box2003

Hello,

I have a MS Access application that has a requirement of Service Pack 4 for
Windows 2000 or Service Pack 2 for Windows XP and Jet 4.0 Service Pack 8
prior to installing the MS Access application. Am I legally allowed to
distribute the required services packs as part of my installation CD, or
should I only include the URL to Microsoft and Service Packs area? I have
instructions for users how to check SP level and install, I thought it would
be more convenient to provide the actual service pack so the users would not
have to search the internet for it.

Thanks

Each Service Pack includes a License Agreement. I would suggest you start by
reading through the License Agreement, for the particular SP.

Good luck.

I believe that this is allowed. However, you might be better off posting in
the Windows XP/2000 newsgroup.
