Set a deadline that is 1 wk after another task

I was wondering if there is any way to set a deadline 1 week from a
certain task.

Example: i have a contract award date, and i have items due 1 week, 1
month etc after that date, the problem is we have not finalized the
contract award date so my dates keep moving. i dont want to go back
and change all the deadlines, i would prefer to just put in something
like contract award +1wk

corky,

A finish-to-start dependency with a 1 week lag will do exactly what you want.

Hi corky0770,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Well, you shouldn't be entering dates, just Durations and Precedence links.
Project would then move the dates for you.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

In short, dynamic deadline dates (meaning the Deadline column) are not
possible in MS Project without addressing the issue with code.

If by deadline you mean task finish dates, others have posted the answer.
If your ATP date slips, try using the Adjust Dates wizard on the Analysis
toolbar
