Set all values in a field back to zero. (0)

I need to change all the values in a field on a form (that is linked to a
query and tables) back to zero, in order to enter new data for the new year.

Is there a way to program this rather than having to scroll thru each record
and manually type the 0 into the field for each record?

I can't seem to get it right.

Add a command button on the form that runs an update query that zeroes out
the field

Another way is to set the DefaultValue property of the form's controls to
zero, which will put a zero in the controls as the value when you start a
new record.
