set default = subform control

Hello,

I have set a default value on a subform to a value on the
main form like this:

=forms!MainFormName!ControlName

However, I would now like to implement the reverse on
another form, but it doesn't work.

=forms!SubFormName!ControlName

I think the problem you might be having is that you need
to set the focus on the subform control before referring
to any of the controls on the subform. Maybe in the Open
event of the main form or something.

Thank you very much for your help! I know reference to a
subform is a little different. Doing that correctly should
solve my problem.

The syntax should be:

Forms![ParentForm]![Subform].Form![ControlName]
