Set fixed page width

I have used front page for years to run a simple personal site. It was built
(as many were) to be on an 800 by 600 screen. I have increased my resolution,
but want my site to remain displayed at about 800 (790?) pixels wide (space
on one or both sides is fine). I have noticed many sites do this successfully.

Currently, my site "spreds out" to fit higher resolutions, and I want to
stop that.

I am a real novice. Is there a simple way I can do this? Just limit the
width, not the heighth. I have built my site almost entirely as "frames"
pages",.. Does this hurt?

I have tried all the menu items I can seem to find.

I an truly appreciative of your help. Please remember.. I am computer
challenged!! I need it simple! I use FR 2002.

Switch from % width tables to fixed width of 750-760px.

Tried every way to set pixel width, no effect once published. This is
unbelievably frustrating. It seems that the answer is obvious, but yet it
does not work.

Detail: I am using frames (see: http//www.artcolleys/net ). The page has a
banner (top), then a contents column (left side), and the information column.
The contents column is set to 200 pixels wide, and works. But the rest of the
page just spreads out when shown at resolutions above 800x600 An example of
what I want is the way our local paper works (see:
http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/ ). Now they obviously use something more
sophisticated than FrontPage.

But am I asking for too much?

The example you have shown is using tables, not frames. A frameset will always fill the browser
window.

Why are you using frames on your site?
Frames should be used only when necessary, and you are prepared to overcome other frames issues.
