Set Jounal to create entries for outgoing mail?

I notice that the when I checked to have journal create entries for email
with certain contacts that it only creates entries for received email. Is
there a way to do this automatically with email I send to these people too?
I do know that I can create one each time by selecting to do so in the
message menus...just don't want to have to remember to do that...keep
forgetting

My Journal tracks both received and sent items. Where are you viewing the
journal items? If you open Journal directly, do the items appear there?

yes, I am viewing the journal from the journal. I am glad I am not crazy
then...but yes, it doesn't journal my outgoing messages only
incoming...something corrupt? It is a brand new system and I just had it
tested because I was having issues with my speakers and it turned out not to
be the system or hardward all things checked and functioning no virus or
corruptions.

Yes, everything checks out. I have the box checked to journal email
messages...I don't need to track anything else so those are not
check...everything looks fine.

I should say, and I forgot to say, that it does track my replies but it
does not track newly created mail to contacts I have checked for tracking
email.
