Set Max Units for a Project -

M

Mark Byington

Suppose Resource 'A' is normal a part time resource and is set as 50% Max
Units in the EPM Resource Pool.

However, for a particular Project, they will be a 100% resource. Is there a
way to set their max units at 100% for the entire project? Setting MAX Units
at 100% on the Resource Sheet View will only work for that session...it needs
to be re-set each time the project is opened in Project Professional.

Also, if the resource wants to create a task for themselves using PWA, it
brings them in a the default % on the Resource Pool. Any way to change that?

Thanks...

Mark:

Create a local custom resource text field in the specific project and add it
to your resource sheet view next to the MAX units column. After setting your
desired max unit values copy these to the new custom field column. Use the
values in this column to copy over the max units column for future sessions
or record a macro to do it for you.

OK...That'll work..

Is there a way to bring them in at 100% when they create a task through
PWA?...or does it have to be modified in Professional after the accept/update
prcoess?
