Set or Reset End of Worksheet

T

Tom Dee

I am using Excel97

I would like to use the Control and End keys to go to the end of my
worksheet. However, for some reason the end it goes to is way beyond
where my sheet ends. I suspect when I was doing a format colunm I just
selected a row way beyond where it really ended. I've tried deleting
the area that has nothing in it but that didn't do anything. I would
like to know how to tell Excel to diregard all the fomatting of the
cells (which have nothing in them) and point it to where my worksheet
really ends.

TIA

Select all rows that don't contain real data. Delete with the menu
item Edit | Delete (or with the context menu from right-click).
*Don't* use any other method such as Clear Contents or the Delete key.

Do the same for columns that don't contain data but XL believes they
do.

Save the file.
