set permission for each group

Hi everybody
I want set four group with the following permission:
1- each member of group can changed their group projects, but only read
another group projects.
2- manager of each group can manage resourse, members,... on his/her group,
but only read another group projects.

all 4 groups have a same permission, I define 2 template for members &
managers, and 2 category for them. but I specified 8 group(4 for each group
members, for example: mechanical members,civil members,... ,4 for each group
manager, for example: mechanical manager, civil manager,...)
but they don`t work fine. I must define each projects that each category
permission to it in category, it isn`t possible, I want each group can define
their projects, if one of the group member create projects, another member in
this group can access it, without I define it on the category. Is it possible?
Please advise me.

You seem to understand groups and categories fairly well, so I will not list
step by step instructions (which would take a while!).

Here is an outline of one approach that might work for you:

Make each group's resources Team Members on each of the group's projects.
You could do this in a project template for each group, or the group manager
could do it on each new project the group creates (using the Build Team
functionality).

I assume you have already set up the Resource Breakdown Structure so that
each group manager can "see" his resources.

Define your categories that have "write" permissions so that resources can
see projects on which they are a team member.
