Set public folder to show number of unread items

The default setting with public folders appears to be "show total number of
items." I want to change this to "show number of unread items" but though I
am the folder owner, the option in the properties window is greyed out. Is
there a solution?

I have the same experience looking at Favorites as I do looking at All Public
Folders--I am unable to change the number that is displayed. I don't have
this problem with folders in my Mailbox. (Allow me to make one
correction--the default, which I wish to change, is to display "show number
of unread items.")

Are you looking at it from the PF favorite or the actual folder?

Both. Any ideas?
