Set the unique ID

Hello,

I believe the Unique ID indicates the sequence in which the task, resource,
or assignment was created, regardless of placement in the schedule. But I
want to renumber the Unique ID to the order of the tasks in the work plan.
Does anyone please know how to do this? Thanks

Not possible I'm afraid. Tasks get Unique IDs in the order they are created.
The ID field holds the number for the order in the work plan unless you have
sorted the Gantt char, in which case sort by ID to restore the order.

Hello Rod,

I found this in MS online for Unique ID,"Entry Type Calculated (calculated
field: A field in which the value is determined by Project based on
information in other fields. Project may recalculate the value automatically
or when you specify, depending on your choice of calculation settings.)"
What does "depending on your choice of calculation"means here?
