Set time limit for a "New Record"

M

A short background:
I am running Access 2003 with a "split" database. I am also using security
measures with Access login names and passwords, allowing certain employees
with editing privileges and other employees with no editing privileges but
can add new records.

With these security measures in place, an employee with no “editingâ€
privileges can not go back to their own record after they leave it and edit
it, if needed.

Is there a way of setting it up to where an employee with no “editingâ€
privileges can go back to their record (after leaving the form) and editing
it.
Say for example: a record was created on 04/11/09 at 17:45:00 and will
remain “open†or “editable†for 20 minutes, even if the user has gone to
another form.

Thank You

There is a timer event in forms; look in event properties and you will find
it....from there you will need to be creative....search on this topic in this
web site and you will see other Q&A.
