SET UO 6:00PM TO 6:00AM 12 HOUR NIGHT SHIFT CALENDER IN MS PROJECT

I wish to setup two resource calenders; one for a 12 hour day shift and one
for a 12 hour night shift. The site works 24/7 and resources work 12 hours
per day, 6:00 to 6:00, 14 days on 7 day off. This is very typical for mining
in Western Australia where staff fly in fly out. the problem is entering a
shift that starts at 06:00PM on one day and finishes at 06:00AM the next day.
MS Project informs that the finish time must be later then the start time.

Hi Mury,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Just split your times of the night shift so that the shift starts at 2400 to
0600 and restarts at 1800 to 2400. The shift times will then all be in the
same calendar day.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
