set up difficulties

I have set up a database to track vehicle maintenance. I
am using 2 excel spreadsheets linked to access, and access
tables.

I have succesfully joined all of the above in a table that
shows each vehicle's data (#, make, model, etc), and 3
subforms. The subforms show 1) internal maintenance
information, 2) external maintenance (if the vehicle is
sent to an outside shop), 3) odometer data from a fueling
system we have.

I have a calculated field on the form showing the maximum
odometer reading from the odometer data subform.

I would like to 1) calculate fields inside the internal
maintenance subform to show the next scheduled maintenance
by miles and by date. I have a lookup table for the "type
of maintenance" field that includes this information. Is
this possible to show on each record in the subform? How?

I would then like to print a report showing vehicles that
have upcoming maintenance due, based either on date or
mileage, using the information calculated as I described
above, and the maximum odometer reading on the form. This
could be done on 2 separate reports, if combining is not
possible or practical.

I've tried setting up a query, but I think I'm lost. Any
help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!
