set-up hit counter so it doesn't increase when i visit

How do I set-up my hit counter, so that the number won't increase when I
visit my own web site from my computer?

I want to be able to visit my web site and not increase the hits on the
counter.

Not possible when using the FP Hit Counter, you would need to use a 3rd Party service.

That can't be done with the FP counter - all it does is count "hits" and
does not track useage by IP address etc, or identify unique visitors.

If your counter is located on your index page, enter your site using a
specific page or directory. e.g http://www.mysite.com/otherpage.htm, and
don't visit the index.
