Please explain the proper way to set-up OneNote 2007 with multiple computers
and keeping the notebook on a thumb drive. How do you manage the synching in
order to not create a mess of duplicated sections?
What happens when you have a thumb drive with an existing notebook and you
tell OneNote to use that notebook? It appears that rather than switching to
the new file, OneNote writes data from the existing default notebook into the
one on the thumb drive.
What happens when you start OneNote on a computer with the thumb drive file
unavailable but then have the thumb drive available at a later time?
Somehow I ended up with a notebook with two or three separate copies of each
section with slight variations in the name, indicating perhaps the date of
that version. I also had to delete the tables of contents because OneNote
did not see the sections that were present.
