set up outlook 2003 for a web based http mail client?

Im having trouble setting up Outlook for a web bsed http client server.
As suggested in the appropriate window i entered the following:
http://services.google.com/svcs/gmail/htttpmail.asp
this might be easy for you but i am ready to jump out the window.
fortunately i live on the ground floor. Can anyone help me with the
appropriate parameters. no i dont knopw what parameters means either.

I don't think OL2003 supports any web mail other than Hotmail and I'm not
even sure it supports that well any longer without other software. To get
Gmail into Outlook you'll either need to use POP3 or IMAP.

Google doesn't supply this kind of account access.
