set word as windows default program

I'm using Windows Vista. When I tried to set Word.exe as my default program
to open .docx, it doesn't show in the default program list. I reinstalled
Office, but I still have the same problem. I'm waiting for your answer.

Can you open Word?
Which version of Word are you using? The OS is (almost) irrelevant.
What happens when you open a docx?

In the Open with dialog that appears when you right click on that item in
Windows explorer, click on the Browse button and navigate to the c:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office## folder and select the WINWORD.EXE item.
