How do I set word to always open a new or existing document at "Page Width" setting?

Thanx in advance.

For new documents open your Normal.dotm template, set the Zoom, then press
the spacebar & backspace - just to "dirty" the template. Hold Shift while
you go to the File Menus & select Save All, then close the template.

There is no setting to determine how previously saved documents open - they
always open to the same settings as when last saved & closed. Since this
version doesn't support VBA you'd need an Apple Script but I doubt it would
be any more useful than just changing the Zoom once the file is opened.
