Setting a limit - demo

I want to set a limit on the number of records in a demo.
I have in past versions used a combo box on the main input form with the
properties set to required and no duplicates (via the table). The combo box
is limited to a list of 1 to 30. I then design a start up form, convert to
MDE and disable shiftkey. One (or many) could probably still get in, is there
another way to set a limit?

Licenecs/users are no issue, it's the number of records I will be using.
