Setting a Reminder on events with a Yearly Recurrence pattern

Hi,

My example is...

1) Create an appointment
2) Set a yearly recurrence with no end date
3) Set a reminder for 2 weeks

My query is...

When I set a reminder for a one off appointment, it comes up in my reminder
screen, however, when I set a reminder for an event that has a recurrence, it
doesn't show up even though the box is ticked. Can anyone help?
