I am trying to load tasks/resources into my schedule that are level of
effort. These include things like recurring meetings that will happen 1 hour
per week from one milestone to another. For example:
Task Review 1 (milestone, 0d): 1/1/10
Task Review 2 (milestone, 0d): 1/1/11
I want to set Task A to start at Review 1 (1/1/10) and finish at Review 2
(1/1/11) with a resource of 1 hour per week (so, 52 hours). But, if Review 2
gets pushed out to 1/1/12, then the task should stretch to end on 1/1/12 with
1 hour per week (now, 104 hours). Similarly, if Review 1 gets pushed out to
7/1/10 but Review 2 doesn't move, then the task would shorten (still 1 hour
per week) to 26 hours.
I was able to get this to work by copying the review dates and
paste-special-paste link into the start and finish dates of Task A and
setting fixed units to 2.5%. That works, but the links are not very stable.
Is there a better way of doing accomplishing the same result?
Thanks,
